Bob Mitchell-  Hockey Instructor and Coach

 
Bob Mitchell is a Level 5 Master USA Hockey Certified Coach in 2006, and is currently the Coaching Director and ACE Coordinator at the Bridgewater Bears Youth Hockey Organization. Coach Mitchell has been coaching youth hockey for the past 15 years with various organizations at the Tier I and Tier II levels. He is instrumental in his teaching Hockey to the youth in New Jersey. Fun atmosphere and hard work is his motto in working with any level from Mites to Midgets Learn to play up into the AAA Levels. Coach Mitchell currently Coaches Bridgewater Bears Mites, Bantams, and Midget U16 A Teams and Volunteers his time to Bernards Middle School Developmental Program as well as conducting pre season practices for a number of NJ High School programs.  Coach Mitchell coached the Hockey Essentials Jr. Chowder Cup Team 2008 and will return this year to coach the Mini Chowder Cup 1996 Team and Jr. Chowder Cup.

Mike Celano has coached last 3 seasons with the Wolfpack Midget program. Coach Celano brings high intensity, and positive energy to our Hockey Essentials program. Coach Celano is a graduate of Seton Hall University where he was an alternate-Captain on the Varsity Pirates Ice Hockey Team. After graduating from Seton Hall University, Coach Celano was hired as an Assistant Coach for SHU. Coach Celano began his youth hockey coaching career with the Jersey Penguins where he spent two season coaching the Bantam and Midget programs. Coach Celano was then hired by the Jersey Wildcats to coach the MADJHL Junior team for 2 years. Coach Celano is an advocate of strength and conditioning techniques to maximize his player's talents. Coach Celano is a USA Hockey Certified Coach, Level 4 and just finished Level 5.  Attended Roger Neilsons Coaching Symposium in 2009.  Currently Head Varsity Coach of Freehold Township HS for 2 years with qualifying for 2010 NJISAA Public A Playoffs in second year of the program.  Our program is excited to have Coach Celano bring our 94 Selects Team to Jr. Chowder Cup for 2010.
 
 
Ryan Carter-  Coach 95 Jr. Chowder Cup Team
 
 
 
Ryan Carter brings over 25 years playing and coaching experience to Hockey Essentials.  Coach Carter started his playing career with the Devils Youth Hockey club and continued on playing for various Junior All-Star teams that competed overseas in Europe.  Ryan played Varsity Hockey for four years at St. Joe’s Metuchen.  After High School Ryan went on to play two years in Port Hope, Ontario for Trinity College School.  Coach Carter then went on to attend and play hockey at Norwich University.  After College coach Carter played for various teams in Germany in Landsberg and Reagansberg.  In 2003, Ryan returned to St. Joe’s High School as an Assistant Coach, and in March 2007 he was named Head Coach St. Joes Varsity Hockey team.  Coach Carter also volunteers his time with Garden State Games, where he coached the last 4 years in the Scholastic division.  Three of the last four years his teams have competed in the gold medal game, capturing gold medal in 2006.  For the past two summers Coach Carter attended Roger Neilson’s coaching clinic in Windsor, Ontario.  Ryan is the current coaching director for the Woodbridge Wolfpack Hockey Club.  Coach Carter this year will coach the Mini Chowder Cup 1995 Team.

Peter Schlittenhardt- On Ice Instructor
 
Peter brings 14 years of playing experience, where he was exposed to a variety of coaching and coaching styles from skating instruction to individual skill and team development. Peter was elected captain for the New Jersey Rockets 89' Midget AAA Team and also Participated on the Bridgewater Bears Bantam AA team that attended nationals for the first time in Bridgewater Bears history in 2004. Peter is young inspiring coach that wants to pass on his knowledge and positive hockey experiences down to the next generation of hockey players.  Coach Schlittenhardt is vigorous when it comes to working with youth hockey players to develop their skills while still keeping the game fun.
